Community welcome back to riding the storms this is the Sunday show on how to
live a Victorious Life applying biblical principles to get you through all of the challenges that life seems to toss at us
and today’s episode is going to be entitled Lord give me a drink which is
awesome and we’ll get back to that and for reminders please make sure that

is going to refer to by brother you soon and his first book was called The
Heavenly Man and the one in particular though for today is Living Water
um so that is going to be every time every time Jesse comes she always has a a resource it’s either pointing out
scripture taking you right through it to get into the word studies and good exegesis yeah yeah look that one up
that’s fun and uh or a fantastic uh book that has really contributed to her walk
with the Lord and and so we love that I know I love that whenever you bring resources to the table Jesse but yes the
Lord give me a drink yeah and you know that he was actually a
brother Eunice on my heart um I just did a show that will come out here this next week or so with the Adina
Hodges with testimony Mountain where uh we were sharing some of the stories you know from missionary books that we read
so of course I naturally was thinking of him again and um his book you know the
first one Heavenly Man was very impactful but um Living Water was the one that
probably spoke to my heart the most and I’ll have to go back and maybe one of
these times we’ll we’ll read through one of my old journals because oftentimes as I read through a book
um I’ll pray in journal you know and and write out what the Lord is speaking to me and teaching me as I
read each chapter so um I you know we’ll look into that because
I know I had so much that I wrote in my journal from that book it was like oh
yes yes that’s so good and yes I want to be able to apply that
um you know he has a very tangible faith and walk with God and really walked in
the Miracles as well where you know that’s kind of the point that we’re being shifted into is
you know I think for so long we’ve all been dry and you know the ground of our
heart has been hardened towards the movement of the Holy Spirit and the Lord
really is bringing us into the season where the holy spirit is falling upon us
and moving in such a powerful way and scripture talks about the holy spirit
being compared to you know those Wells of Living Water that burst up and burst
forth and um you know as we experience that what happens the water just overflows and I
can remember um the first Seminary that I went to was where I had my Hebrew courses and my
Hebrew professor and he was one of the first individuals where I experienced that that sense of
the Holy Spirit just flowing out of the guy he walked in the room and literally
it was just like there was like this outflow I mean I could see it and I was just like whoo like that man he has such
an authority in the Lord and so filled with the Holy Spirit you know I could
sense it and that’s really you know what each of us we’re we’re meant to be that same way
that when you know as we spend time with the Lord as we go out into our homes or
into our churches our communities people are going to feel the presence of the
holy spirit with us and so it’s it’s very exciting so as we’re going into this journey you
know we’ve you know with the rise of the righteous we really get into
um what does it look like to walk in that Authority that we have in the Lord how do we begin to walk it out
um how do we begin to govern his house his courts um I know we’ve talked before about you
know uh especially the verse out of Ezra 8 uh verse 33 where it you know it
talked about that every basically in our time it would compute to every Wednesday evening
the priests would come into um the house of the Lord and they were
supposed to give an account and with that account giving they also were supposed to submit their claims for the
week so that would be everything that they needed and we’ve kind of begun to
discuss this concept of okay we’ve got a God who
his kingdom is so rich so abundant he has everything that we need how do we
begin to access the things that we need and I really think it goes back to that
that you know we need to be mindful we need to start putting into practice the discipline of submitting claims
yes we’ve talked about because we asked not right I mean right
but then to keep being you know faithful to keep it to give an account like if the Lord gives stuff then we’re supposed
to you know keep account of it which for you like what have you found what are
some of the ways that you’re learning to keep that account
um I try to note that like I try to get that down somewhere like this is what I
feel he’s given to me and then watching for those moments like for me is more of
a watching because I know life gets busy things happen there are lots of
distractions so it’s almost like I feel like I’m on the lookout like I got my
binoculars and I’m watching for the Lord for those moments to happen so that I
don’t miss them now for me that’s how I kind of do that when I have that sense
of what the Lord is going to do is to be on the lookout for when those opportunities present themselves so that
I don’t miss them because sometimes it’ll be such a quick moment where he
either I feel like he breathes on me or there might be like a word of knowledge
he gives in a moment and if I am utterly distracted and not paying attention at
all I completely miss it and then he’s gonna have to try a different way to get
they’ll give it to you over and over again every year at this on the same day even yeah
exactly exactly so it’s like the first time that happens it’s like thank you
Lord thank you for reminding me but for me if it goes beyond that and it’s like
a second time or a third time I’m like that’s basically a rebuke from the Lord
you’re like I need to be faithful yeah I think I found the same way you know like
I started off just kind of like you know writing it out in my journals
and stuff but one of the challenges in that then is to like be responsible with
it on a weekly basis because usually you know there’s so much that the Lord gives
right so so then we had um you know I I shared at uh rise of the
righteous we had a a lady that’s created kind of like a claims accounting sheet
um that she uses for going into the courts and you know going before the Lord so I played with that for a little
bit that makes it a little easier to like you know go back and say okay like
these were all my claims for this week you know the next week I kind of follow up where are they at you know are there
things I’m supposed to you know scripture says this we receive we’re supposed to give out
so are there things that I’m supposed to give out was I faithful to give those out
who did I give it out to um you know and there’s just so many areas because I’m glad you talked about
the words of knowledge because that is a huge part of it you know the words of knowledge the revelation
uh the words of comfort at the same time sometimes the Lord has us tangibly give
things you know maybe somebody needs you know a gentle touch or a gentle word
that day um you know were you faithful to give it out um maybe you it started off you needed
that word from the Lord and the Lord comforted you with the scripture but
then is there somebody that you’re supposed to share that with to encourage you know to build up in the body of
Christ and were you faithful to give that that word out
so there’s that responsibility you know learning to discipline yourself in that
now I wanted to talk a little bit more about kind of like how how are we
receiving claims um for me you know when I go into the
Lord’s presence every Wednesday night what’s been happening is he just will give me
outright a scripture Passage so like last night when I went the Lord
said to me John 1 10 and Beyond
um so you know when I received that what I do is I simply I opened up so if you
do you have your Bible on you or I do and so do you want would you like the uh read John what what he where he stopped
me was verse 12 so if you would read John 1 verse 10 through 12.
and I’ll say you know what I’ve been finding is sometimes the Lord has been giving me the most interesting passages
where when I get it I’m like Lord what do I do with this like what am I
supposed to receive right okay are you okay with the passion
translation for this one yeah yeah okay okay very good one ten through twelve he entered into
the world he created yet the world was unaware it came to the people he created
to those who should have received him but they did not recognize him but those
who embraced him and took hold of his name he gave authority to become the
children of God they’re good I’m gonna read this out of the
um nasb2 uh because I want people to hear the difference
he was in the world and though the world was made through him it did not
recognize him he came to that which was his own but his own did not receive him
yet to all who received him to those who believed in his name he gave the right
to become the children of God children born not of natural dissent nor of a
human’s decision or of a husband’s will but born
of God oh my goodness that’s when he began to pray through
that there were a couple of things that really kind of struck struck me
you know as we begin to think of that concept of Lord you know give me a drink
right In this passage the Lord was telling me that he desires to give us that drink of
the Living Water yet what happens it says he was in the
world and though the world was made through him it did not recognize him he
came to those who were his own but his own did not receive him
so as we’re coming into the Lord’s presence like are we recognizing him are we
recognizing when he speaks or you know when he pauses to get our attention
are are we aware of that and when he does are we receiving it
I know for me A lot of times you know especially like you know when the Lord wants to give
um you know I’ll say judgments like he’s been teaching me more about the
judgments and there is just such a natural reaction in my heart that the
moment something comes up it’s like oh nope Lord I really love Mercy I don’t I
don’t even want to know I don’t want to open the can of worms you know and in
that the Lord is saying hey like you’re not receiving you’re not receiving me
and there’s in a way there’s like that tendency to outright reject
whatever the Lord is trying to do or teach so yeah I mean how many of us struggle
with that that we don’t especially when it’s in regards to you
know like we said judgments or things like that we need to confess things we need to repent or turn away from things
we need to work on like you know we don’t want to take that time to really
be vulnerable before the Lord or to receive that you know why is God
pointing it out really it’s for our good like every thought every intention in
his heart is for our good wow and that’s really where the enemy
hits us with lies like that’s where the unbelief is is we assume
that God is displeased that he’s going to reject us cast us away you know turn
his face away and so you know in a way we want to avoid that
that hurt that we’re assuming and so we automatically withdraw from
the relationship we put a stop up like nope don’t want to hear it because I
can’t bear it I I can’t bear the hurt um you know and we we won’t even listen or
hear or come and why do we do that when every thought
and intention of his heart is for our good
that’s a big say law moment right there and everyone needs to camp out on that
right about there it even as you were talking about that he took me in a very quick vision of myself doing that very
thing before him and instead of it looking like the most terrifying thing
ever it was the most welcoming most accepting let me help you get that off
of you in a moment so please everyone don’t miss that was the
back up if you need to and listen to that again because that was huge that was huge we assume sometimes so much
about the word judgment you know it’s like it’s a rendering of something but
what direction that goes in weighs very heavily on where our heart is positioned and how
we’re going to respond to him in it oh my goodness I’m so excited right now and think about that you know I mean think
about where did that you know verse originally come from about you know Lord give me a drink
um it came from Matthew 4 where he meets The Samaritan woman at the well and this is a woman that you know
technically the Jews were not even supposed to talk to Samaritans you know more or less even a woman woman
right and more or less she wasn’t even a good woman at the well you know she was
a woman that basically was a prostitute you know had so much sexual sin in her
life and here you have Jesus you know the anointed holy Son of God the high priest
over the heavens and the Earth and you know he says to her
you know give me a drink he asked her to give him a drink
and you know the the love and the you know I guess just the the
vulnerability in that that the Lord of all the heavens and the Earth
you know himself while this woman is still in her sin he sees beyond that what did
he see beyond that he saw that she was a true worshiper that she wanted
to know God she wanted the Living Water she wanted that forgiveness and to turn
away from her sin and so he draws her into that moment where she realizes
the lord of the heavens and the Earth wants me to come into His presence and
to offer him a drink you know how powerful is that and in
that process you know that’s where she leaves everything behind that’s where she turns from her sin
and she enters into that place of worship and adoration
and that’s really where he calls us and and so as we get further into that John
1 10-12 you know you get to the second Heart part of the verse but there’s those that
don’t recognize him that don’t receive him but here’s the change the shifter it
says yet what a great word that yet is a transformational word because it means
that that Although our hearts may be like that although some may you know choose
to remain in that state where they’re refusing God yet he’s provided a second path another
way and it says to all who receive him to
those who believe in his name he gave the right to become the children of God
and you know as you go on it really defines what that
term children of God means and and here’s the powerful part you
know it says children born not of natural dissent nor of a human decision
or of a husband’s will it you know when you
put that out there you know basically it’s saying it’s not even based on your
decision or anything that you would have naturally about you
you know it’s not because you were chosen or you’re gifted or you’re needed
to go out and do something um you know it’s not based on your
merits how good you are how perfect how holy you know how much time you spend in
the word how much time you pray you know it’s not based on a human decision it’s
not based on whether your parents you know were in a Godly marriage or your
dad wanted you or didn’t want you it’s not based on a husband’s will it says
but were those that you know as we learned to receive him
we are born of God like he brings out he births that
Holy Spirit in US um e-births and releases that power of His
word within us and um you know that’s how we access it
is simply by coming and saying Lord give me a drink you know I want it I want it to the full
I want to be in that place where I never thirst again um
you know I want it and so
what I want to bring out then is that when we make claims
part of that is you know going back through like you know the lord gave me
that word so how did I begin to be accountable for
that word I began to Think Through I begin to process it
um you know pray through it and you know as we do that now you know
we literally have to come to that place where what do we do with the word that he’s given we have to receive it
um receiving means that you’re going to believe and you’re going to act on it you know you’re going to live
as though it’s true um do we believe his word you know when
he says hey I I come do I believe he comes to me
do I believe that he reaches out to me that he has things to say that he wants
to talk about if so then I have to say Okay Lord I’m listening tonight is your
night you gave me this word and this is all I’m going to think about I’m going to talk with you about it because I want to
hear the fullness of what you have to say about it um
right there I’m sorry I’m interrupting you like it’s a massive invitation he
gives you something and then you don’t let that go you hold on to that and you
get all of the nutrition out of diversity you possibly can what did you mean by that God what does it means I’m
so excited this is the stuff that gets me super excited other people of sports game and I’m like we have the word of
God right I know I mean it is exciting because then you’re like what does God
want me to receive you know there’s so many surprises
um you know so as we do that you know the other thought that that really struck me
is that in this like you know I don’t know how many others have experienced this
but I know throughout the years that when I really pressed in when I really
you know was diligent about being in the Lord’s presence you know uh routinely
usually it was like every night 8 P.M you know it’s like okay like I’m being
serious I’m going to my quiet place I’m here to do the Lord’s work to receive
his will you know no interruptions um you know Lord I’m here for you
and what was interesting is that those who were not receiving the Lord
for his word there was almost like a violence that would come against the Lord as well
as those who were born of his will um you know that’s where I would get you
know the accusations um I’d get you know like my family who you know it’s like I could be available
all day to them I would spend all day going out and about doing different stuff with the kids but the moment I
went in to have my prayer time I’d get the you don’t want to spend any time with me you never make time you know you
know is your Bible more important than me you know or I’d get the friends calling I need you you know and if you
were like well you know if it’s not an emergency I’ll call you back later and they’d be like you know you always brush
me off and they would say stuff like there would almost be like that violent accusation
the false accusing um that would come
and I recognize that that really is because they’re not in that place of
receiving the spirit of God and I question like why is there that
violence like why why are they violent against those who do
right you know I hear that in a lot of marriages like when you have one spouse
walking with the Lord and the other’s not that when they you know attempt to spend time in the Lord’s presence it’s
like that spouse gets kind of violent verb whether it’s verbally whether it’s physically you know it’s like there’s
just those non-stop attacks and I get it from all directions it’s like all of a sudden everything you know
every person you could think of has something kind of nasty to say and
you’re like wait a second like I haven’t done anything like all I’m doing is
being in the Lord’s presence and why am I getting these violent attacks
that’s huge and I’m sure that this is speaking to so many people right now because just like you said you could be
around all day all day completely free and the second you step into the prayer
closet it’s like you end up in these crosshairs for the accuser of the Brethren like
okay everyone like signal open fire no you know and it’s and it’s so it’s so
difficult because those accusations come and if if you’re not careful to
recognize what they are at that moment um then you could almost take them on
and they start to work against you in thinking that maybe some of those things
are actually true um at least I know I have I have struggled with that one like you know be
it you’re you’re giving with your life and having your life laid down and just a one or five minutes that you want just
you and God all of a sudden it’s like oh well you weren’t there for me you know
it’s like I was trying to pray yeah you’re like I just wanted five minutes
to breathe today just far this is too much to ask oh I’m sorry I wasn’t there
for your five minute bow down like look but yeah I’m sure this will speak into so many
people yeah so you know that’s then what brought me
kind of back to brother Yoon that um you know as he you know his family
they grew up in China and uh you know the his family were not Christian
um in Heavenly man he talks about how his father came to or how their whole family literally came to the Lord uh his
dad was really sick and you know doctors couldn’t heal him um you know they had tried everything
and finally it was his mother who remembered you know in her childhood how
missionaries had come through and people had been miraculously healed through the name of Jesus
so they decided you know well we’ve got nothing else to lose let’s pray to Jesus
and see if he gets healed and miraculously his father gets healed
and in fact you know they were like well now what you know and they realized well
you know the missionaries would bring Bibles but we don’t have a Bible so they
asked they prayed for a Bible and the Lord sent you know another a second
Miracle where to the Pastors in the area the lord gave
them a vision of the house and told them to take a Bible there and so that was
how their whole family came to the Lord and got saved and Miracle after Miracle
you know in his life where even you know when he was put in prison because he was
preaching the gospel um you know they put him you know I
think it wasn’t the first time he had been there but they wanted to really teach him a lesson and they put him in
the prison cell with the worst of the worst prisoners who you know beat him
you know tortured him were insulting him and as that happened like he was just
under so much oppression that he you know he began fasting the Lord told him in a fast and that fast he laid on the
ground and didn’t eat and it was a long time I think it was actually like it was over 40 days
um which once you get over 40 days you know they started to think he was gonna die because he hadn’t you know really
eaten or anything for that long and you know then
um the the soldiers of the prison actually invited his mom and his wife to
come and have a last meal with him because they were pretty sure he was going to die they had to carry him out
of the cell I think it was his mom had brought communion as he took the communion the
Lord just miraculously like restored healed Him He restored his strength and
he went back into the prison cell preaching the gospel to those uh guys
and they ended up you know seeing that Miracle of where he had been in weakness
and to him walking in Authority they all gave their lives to the Lord and then
they ended up putting the you know a fifth guy who was the worst of the worst in there
all four of those men ended up loving that guy into the kingdom uh before he
was executed so you know very powerful in in the beginning of of this book he
he gives the verse uh John 7. 37-39 which is what I kind of want to
end off here because it goes along with what we’ve been talking about today
it says on the last day of the greatest day of the feast Jesus stood and he said
in a loud voice if anyone is thirsty let him come to me and drink whoever
believes in me as the scripture has says streams of Living Water will flow from
within him by this he meant the Holy Spirit whom those who believed in him were later to
receive and let me read that last sentence again Jesus said if anyone is thirsty let him
come to me and drink whoever believes in me as the scripture has says streams of
Living Water will flow from within him
you know how powerful is that that you know just that intimacy
um you know do we stop long enough as we’re reading scripture to really see
the Lord speaking forth that verse um
do we look for his face um you know do we seek his face
that intimate you know eye to eye contact saying Lord I want to see your face I want to hear your voice I want to
know you so Lord we just come into your presence
today Lord and and we speak that out as the Cry of our hearts we want to know
you we want to see your face we want to know what it’s like to look
you in the eyes to see those eyes that are flaming like fire
to hear your voice that is like streams of living water flowing forth
to know what it feels like to have you speak words of Tender Love To Us
Lord we want to hear that every day multiple times a day and we just we’re asking Lord we’re
asking that you will give us a drink of Living Water
um that your holy spirit will burst up within us and begin to flow out that
wherever we go we may be givers of life and that we will be so filled with your
holy spirit that we will go out that we will heal the sick raise the dead cleanse the lepers and cast out demons
and then we will do the greater than these Miracles that you have prepared in
advance for us to do we ask this in your powerful name Jesus thank you Lord
amen amen

I know for me A lot of times you know especially like you know when the Lord wants to give

um you know I’ll say judgments like he’s been teaching me more about the

judgments and there is just such a natural reaction in my heart that the

moment something comes up it’s like oh nope Lord I really love Mercy I don’t I

don’t even want to know I don’t want to open the can of worms you know and in

that the Lord is saying hey like you’re not receiving you’re not receiving me

and there’s in a way there’s like that tendency to outright reject

whatever the Lord is trying to do or teach so yeah I mean how many of us struggle

with that that we don’t especially when it’s in regards to you

know like we said judgments or things like that we need to confess things we need to repent or turn away from things

we need to work on like you know we don’t want to take that time to really

be vulnerable before the Lord or to receive that you know why is God

pointing it out really it’s for our good like every thought every intention in

his heart is for our good wow and that’s really where the enemy

hits us with lies like that’s where the unbelief is is we assume

that God is displeased that he’s going to reject us cast us away you know turn

his face away and so you know in a way we want to avoid that

that hurt that we’re assuming and so we automatically withdraw from

the relationship we put a stop up like nope don’t want to hear it because I

can’t bear it I I can’t bear the hurt um you know and we we won’t even listen or

hear or come and why do we do that when every thought

and intention of his heart is for our good

that’s a big say law moment right there and everyone needs to camp out on that

right about there it even as you were talking about that he took me in a very quick vision of myself doing that very

thing before him and instead of it looking like the most terrifying thing

about the word judgment you know it’s like it’s a rendering of something but

what direction that goes in weighs very heavily on where our heart is positioned and how

about where did that you know verse originally come from about you know Lord give me a drink

um it came from Matthew 4 where he meets The Samaritan woman at the well and this is a woman that you know

technically the Jews were not even supposed to talk to Samaritans you know more or less even a woman woman

right and more or less she wasn’t even a good woman at the well you know she was

a woman that basically was a prostitute you know had so much sexual sin in her

life and here you have Jesus you know the anointed holy Son of God the high priest

over the heavens and the Earth and you know he says to her

you know give me a drink he asked her to give him a drink

and you know the the love and the you know I guess just the the

vulnerability in that that the Lord of all the heavens and the Earth

you know himself while this woman is still in her sin he sees beyond that what did

he see beyond that he saw that she was a true worshiper that she wanted

to know God she wanted the Living Water she wanted that forgiveness and to turn

away from her sin and so he draws her into that moment where she realizes

the lord of the heavens and the Earth wants me to come into His presence and

to offer him a drink you know how powerful is that and in

that process you know that’s where she leaves everything behind that’s where she turns from her sin

and she enters into that place of worship and adoration

and that’s really where he calls us and and so as we get further into that John

1 10-12 you know you get to the second Heart part of the verse but there’s those that

don’t recognize him that don’t receive him but here’s the change the shifter it

says yet what a great word that yet is a transformational word because it means

that that Although our hearts may be like that although some may you know choose

to remain in that state where they’re refusing God yet he’s provided a second path another

but were those that you know as we learned to receive him

word within us and um you know that’s how we access it

we literally have to come to that place where what do we do with the word that he’s given we have to receive it

do I believe that he reaches out to me that he has things to say that he wants

gives you something and then you don’t let that go you hold on to that and you

so excited this is the stuff that gets me super excited other people of sports game and I’m like we have the word of

God right I know I mean it is exciting because then you’re like what does God

want me to receive you know there’s so many surprises

um you know so as we do that you know the other thought that that really struck me

is that in this like you know I don’t know how many others have experienced this

but I know throughout the years that when I really pressed in when I really

you know was diligent about being in the Lord’s presence you know uh routinely

usually it was like every night 8 P.M you know it’s like okay like I’m being

serious I’m going to my quiet place I’m here to do the Lord’s work to receive

his will you know no interruptions um you know Lord I’m here for you

and what was interesting is that those who were not receiving the Lord

for his word there was almost like a violence that would come against the Lord as well

as those who were born of his will um you know that’s where I would get you

know the accusations um I’d get you know like my family who you know it’s like I could be available

all day to them I would spend all day going out and about doing different stuff with the kids but the moment I

went in to have my prayer time I’d get the you don’t want to spend any time with me you never make time you know you

know is your Bible more important than me you know or I’d get the friends calling I need you you know and if you

were like well you know if it’s not an emergency I’ll call you back later and they’d be like you know you always brush

me off and they would say stuff like there would almost be like that violent accusation

the false accusing um that would come

and I recognize that that really is because they’re not in that place of

receiving the spirit of God and I question like why is there that

violence like why why are they violent against those who do

right you know I hear that in a lot of marriages like when you have one spouse

walking with the Lord and the other’s not that when they you know attempt to spend time in the Lord’s presence it’s

like that spouse gets kind of violent verb whether it’s verbally whether it’s physically you know it’s like there’s

just those non-stop attacks and I get it from all directions it’s like all of a sudden everything you know

every person you could think of has something kind of nasty to say and

you’re like wait a second like I haven’t done anything like all I’m doing is

being in the Lord’s presence and why am I getting these violent attacks

that’s huge and I’m sure that this is speaking to so many people right now because just like you said you could be

around all day all day completely free and the second you step into the prayer

closet it’s like you end up in these crosshairs for the accuser of the Brethren like

okay everyone like signal open fire no you know and it’s and it’s so it’s so

difficult because those accusations come and if if you’re not careful to

recognize what they are at that moment um then you could almost take them on

and they start to work against you in thinking that maybe some of those things

are actually true um at least I know I have I have struggled with that one like you know be

it you’re you’re giving with your life and having your life laid down and just a one or five minutes that you want just

you and God all of a sudden it’s like oh well you weren’t there for me you know

it’s like I was trying to pray yeah you’re like I just wanted five minutes

to breathe today just far this is too much to ask oh I’m sorry I wasn’t there

for your five minute bow down like look but yeah I’m sure this will speak into so many

people yeah so you know that’s then what brought me

kind of back to brother Yoon that um you know as he you know his family

they grew up in China and uh you know the his family were not Christian

um in Heavenly man he talks about how his father came to or how their whole family literally came to the Lord uh his

dad was really sick and you know doctors couldn’t heal him um you know they had tried everything
28:41
and finally it was his mother who remembered you know in her childhood how
28:46
missionaries had come through and people had been miraculously healed through the name of Jesus
28:52
so they decided you know well we’ve got nothing else to lose let’s pray to Jesus

and see if he gets healed and miraculously his father gets healed

and in fact you know they were like well now what you know and they realized well
29:09
you know the missionaries would bring Bibles but we don’t have a Bible so they

asked they prayed for a Bible and the Lord sent you know another a second

Miracle where to the Pastors in the area the lord gave

them a vision of the house and told them to take a Bible there and so that was

how their whole family came to the Lord and got saved and Miracle after Miracle

you know in his life where even you know when he was put in prison because he was
29:42
preaching the gospel um you know they put him you know I
29:48
think it wasn’t the first time he had been there but they wanted to really teach him a lesson and they put him in

the prison cell with the worst of the worst prisoners who you know beat him

you know tortured him were insulting him and as that happened like he was just

under so much oppression that he you know he began fasting the Lord told him in a fast and that fast he laid on the
30:15
ground and didn’t eat and it was a long time I think it was actually like it was over 40 days

um which once you get over 40 days you know they started to think he was gonna die because he hadn’t you know really
30:30
eaten or anything for that long and you know then
30:36
um the the soldiers of the prison actually invited his mom and his wife to
30:43
come and have a last meal with him because they were pretty sure he was going to die they had to carry him out

of the cell I think it was his mom had brought communion as he took the communion the
30:54
Lord just miraculously like restored healed Him He restored his strength and

he went back into the prison cell preaching the gospel to those uh guys
31:05
and they ended up you know seeing that Miracle of where he had been in weakness

and to him walking in Authority they all gave their lives to the Lord and then

they ended up putting the you know a fifth guy who was the worst of the worst in there

all four of those men ended up loving that guy into the kingdom uh before he
31:28
was executed so you know very powerful in in the beginning of of this book he

he gives the verse uh John 7. 37-39 which is what I kind of want to

end off here because it goes along with what we’ve been talking about today

it says on the last day of the greatest day of the feast Jesus stood and he said

in a loud voice if anyone is thirsty let him come to me and drink whoever

believes in me as the scripture has says streams of Living Water will flow from

within him by this he meant the Holy Spirit whom those who believed in him were later to

receive and let me read that last sentence again Jesus said if anyone is thirsty let him

you know how powerful is that that you know just that intimacy

um you know do we stop long enough as we’re reading scripture to really see

the Lord speaking forth that verse um

that intimate you know eye to eye contact saying Lord I want to see your face I want to hear your voice I want to

today Lord and and we speak that out as the Cry of our hearts we want to know

you in the eyes to see those eyes that are flaming like fire

to hear your voice that is like streams of living water flowing forth

to know what it feels like to have you speak words of Tender Love To Us

Lord we want to hear that every day multiple times a day and we just we’re asking Lord we’re

asking that you will give us a drink of Living Water

um that your holy spirit will burst up within us and begin to flow out that

wherever we go we may be givers of life and that we will be so filled with your

holy spirit that we will go out that we will heal the sick raise the dead cleanse the lepers and cast out demons

and then we will do the greater than these Miracles that you have prepared in
